Objective

Use a body-feint step-over to freeze a defender and cut inside.

Equipment

  • Ball
  • Cones

Instructions

  1. 1

    Dribble toward a cone defender at medium pace.

  2. 2

    Shape your body to go one way, then cut the ball sharply in the opposite direction with the outside of your foot.

  3. 3

    Accelerate away immediately after the cut.

  4. 4

    Do 8 reps each direction.

Coaching Points

  • Sell the feint with your shoulders — lean convincingly before the cut.
  • The cut must be sharp and low to the ground, not looping.
  • Burst of speed after the cut is what makes it effective.

Variations

  • Perform against a live passive defender who reacts but does not tackle.
  • Chain into a cross or shot after the cut.
