Objective

Develop the habit and technique of passing with one touch.

Equipment

  • Ball
  • Cones

Instructions

  1. 1

    Partners stand 10 yards apart.

  2. 2

    Pass back and forth one-touch only — no controlling touch allowed.

  3. 3

    Focus on setting the foot early and meeting the ball firmly.

  4. 4

    Complete 40 consecutive one-touch passes as a target.

Coaching Points

  • Set your body shape before the ball arrives — do not wait.
  • Strike through the centre of the ball with a firm ankle.
  • Aim for your partner's front foot, not their body.

Variations

  • Increase distance to 15 yards.
  • Add movement — both players take one step sideways after each pass.
