Objective

Execute the one-two combination to bypass a defender.

Equipment

  • Ball
  • Cones

Instructions

  1. 1

    Set up a cone as a defender. Player A starts 10 yards back with the ball, Player B stands to the side of the cone.

  2. 2

    Player A passes to Player B and immediately sprints forward past the cone.

  3. 3

    Player B plays a first-time return pass into the space behind the cone.

  4. 4

    Player A receives on the run. Rotate roles after 5 reps each.

Coaching Points

  • Pass and move simultaneously — do not pause after the pass.
  • The wall player must play first-time; holding the ball kills the combination.
  • Weight the return pass into space, not at the feet.

Variations

  • Add a live passive defender at the cone who tries to intercept.
  • Finish with a shot after receiving the return pass.
