Objective

Dummy a cross to let it run for a back-post teammate arriving late.

Equipment

Instructions

1. 1

   Server delivers a cross from the right. Near-post runner dummies by letting the ball pass.

2. 2

   Back-post runner arrives to finish.

3. 3

   The dummy must be convincing — the near-post runner shapes to shoot but withdraws.

4. 4

   Rotate all three roles after 5 crosses from each side.

Coaching Points

• ✓ The dummy runner must shape to shoot — a passive non-attempt tips off the defender.
• ✓ Back-post runner waits to see if the dummy is executed before committing.
• ✓ Communication between the two attackers before the cross is essential.
