Objective

Bend a shot around a wall and into the far corner from 20+ yards.

Equipment

  • Balls
  • Goal
  • Cones

Instructions

  1. 1

    Set a wall of 2–3 cones 10 yards from goal to simulate a free-kick wall.

  2. 2

    Place the ball 22 yards out, slightly to the right of centre.

  3. 3

    Strike with the inside of the right foot across the ball to generate left-to-right curl.

  4. 4

    10 reps from each side.

Coaching Points

  • Strike the outside half of the ball with the inside of the foot.
  • Follow through across the body to maximise spin.
  • Aim for the far post — the curl will bring it back toward goal.

Variations

  • Add a live goalkeeper.
  • Use a laces-driven shot curled with the outside of the foot.
